Beskrivelse

Forlaget skriver om denne boka:

Peter Christen Asbjørnsen (1812-85) and Jørgen Moe (1813-82) were the first to collect and write down Norwegian fairy tales. Asbjørnsen & Moe were good friends who shared a vivid interest in folklore and popular tradition. Their great achievement was to creat a style which preserved the verve and the ripe humour of the tales that were living in the woods and the valleys. Thank to their work, Norwegian popular speech appeared in writing for the first time. In "Norwegian Fairy Tales" you will find a selection of their best tales. Among others about the pancake which rolled away into the world and the one about the princess who always wanted to have the last word. Edited and illustrated by Harald Nordberg
